Continuity of Care After You Return Home

International treatment does not end at airport departure. A well-designed plan should account for the period after the client returns home.

NovéaMed helps coordinate access to discharge information, procedure reports, medication instructions, and available follow-up guidance from the treating team. When appropriate, clients may share these records with their physician or another licensed clinician in the United States.

Remote communication

Questions related to the procedure are directed to the treating clinical team. NovéaMed supports communication and organization but does not independently diagnose symptoms or replace local emergency or follow-up care.

Local care

Some clients may need routine wound checks, laboratory testing, imaging, medication management, or specialist review after returning home. These needs should be anticipated whenever possible. Urgent symptoms require prompt assessment by local emergency services or an appropriate licensed clinician.

Why this matters

Continuity reduces confusion. Clients should return with a clear understanding of their medications, restrictions, planned follow-up, warning signs, and who to contact. NovéaMed’s concierge model is designed to help keep those details organized across borders.
